Teen Wolf generally does really good with the gay stuff. It has two gay characters- secondary characters for the time being, but still - who are sticking around and the last episode featured a lesbian couple too, who we’re probably not going to see again, but hey, at least there was one. And the best thing is there is no weirdness around it, ever. Danny was/is best friends with the number one jock of the school (when does that ever happen on a high school show) and openly flirts in the school library without anyone batting an eye, and the way Scott’s mother talked about the girl’s girlfriend like it was the most obvious thing in the world… I mean nobody on this show acts like the fact that guys can dig guys and girls can dig girls, too, is anything special or out of the ordinary, ever, and that is such a breath of fresh air from many other shows that, even when they try to be inclusive or progressive, they often fuck up, majorly. That includes Glee, by the way.
And that’s just one of the reasons why Teen Wolf owns my mind, body, heart and soul.

I just learned that Vin Diesel taught Judi Dench how to play Dungeons and Dragons and now she DMs for her grandchildren and I feel better about the world in general.

“There was this weird theme that kept popping up. We all realized that Karl Urban (who plays the young Dr. McCoy) doesn’t take a bad picture, ever. There were these make-up continuity photos that were taken with Polaroid cameras, close-ups with a flash and everyone looks awful in them except for Karl Urban, Dr. Gorgeous. He was like [John makes a very manly, sexy face…we laugh]. So we started leaving pictures for each other in the make-up trailer, these really glamorous poses. Chris and I were doing it ironically and we, of course, looked goofy with these [male model] Zoolander eyes, Blue Steel eyes, except Karl Urban would do it and he would look like a real fashion model so he got a weird reputation for never taking a bad picture.”
